Ahead of its release, three tracks created specifically for the mix are previewed on this album sampler, each demonstrating Claptone’s remix and production alchemy. ‘The First Time Free’ is an ode to timeless house music, marrying Ultra Naté’s iconic guitar riff and Roland Clark’s heartfelt vocal with a characteristic pulsing Claptone groove. ‘Planet Rock’, on the other hand, reveals Claptone’s affinity towards classic electro and his ability to transcend eras, with Afrika Bambaataa’s unmistakable stabs echoing all around his rework of the Powers That Be cover.
