A fundamental artist in the development of Detroit Techno, Eddie Fowlkes stands alongside other legends like Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson. From his first release on Juan Atkins’s Metroplex Records he has continued to create pioneering tracks over the past three decades. His ‘That’s What I Think About EP’ is no exception, as true to his roots you hear the heavy Detroit Techno influence in both ‘That’s What I Think About’ and ‘Something Special E’. South African producer Culoe De Song’s remix of ‘That’s What I Think About’ is less dance oriented, with atmospheric synths and percussion stripping the track back to a haunting version of the original.
