Following a string of chart topping remixes for the label, Riva Starr returns to Defected to release ‘Love Divine’, his first original production on the imprint since 2016’s The Superdope EP. Featuring London vocalist Phebe Edwards, ‘Love Divine’ showcases Riva’s intuitive, multi-faceted production style at its finest. Twisting Phebe’s soaring vocal around menacingly gradual builds, bubbling synths and spectacular organ breakdowns to create a record destined for peak time sets.

The moody, hypnotic sounds on the latest from Stefan Beck—swaying cello, prickly guitars—are meant to convey a sense of unease. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 25, 2021
The songs on the latest from Absolutely Free feel as expansive as a cloudless sky, with ringing guitars and bright-eyed melodies. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 25, 2021

Missing was always a dance track with an unusual structure that goes on unexpected detours and both remixes here also take that view and run with it to splendid effect. Love the 'Motorik' deconstruction of the Deetron extended mix and the lingering, echoed phrases of the Maurice Fulton take - both really add new dimensions to what was already a standout track among a field of gems on The Vision's eponymous debut album.
