One of Italy's brightest dance talents Marco Faraone teams up with rising star of the scene Greeko on 'Armaghetton' for a striking Defected debut. Initially released on Marco's own imprint Uncage, with support from tastemakers like Radio 1's Danny Howard, Annie Mac and Pete Tong, it quickly pricked the ears of Defected's A&R team with its lively spoken-word vocal and bounding bass. Perhaps best known for his more techno-leaning releases, this confident foray into house shows Marco Faraone's innate ability to straddle the two worlds with total finesse. Springy and playful with endless club appeal, 'Armaghetton' is a future hit for the dancefloors that might have been.

Such a tight EP. The choice of sound for the basslines across the whole selection gives it a unique analog feel.
"Lets get this" breathes new life into the classic vocal sample. Absolutely love this record. Maybecurtis

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
